How to play Baccarat

A guide to card values, betting options, and game rules in Live Baccarat.

In Baccarat, players bet on which of two hands, the Player or the Banker, will be closest in value to 9, or whether the hands will tie. The game is played with 8 decks of cards, shuffled regularly by the dealer.

If the total value of a hand exceeds 10, subtract 10 to get the Baccarat value. For example, 8 + 8 = 16, which counts as 6.

  • A two-card total of 9 is the best hand and is called a Natural.

  • The second best hand is a Natural 8.

  • If both hands are identical, the game ends in a Tie.

Placing a bet

  1. Select your chip value from the Bank window.

  2. Click on the Player, Tie, or Banker area on the table.

  3. Once the timer runs down, the dealer begins dealing.

If a game is already in progress, wait for it to complete before placing a bet.
