Cash Out: rules and how to use it

Everything you need to know about how Cash Out works and when it is available.

What is Cash Out?

Cash Out allows you to lock in a profit or close your bet for a loss before the market would ordinarily be settled. Cash Out is considered a settlement of the original bet and our standard bet acceptance and settlement rules apply to all bets in line with our betting terms and conditions.

Cash Out amounts displayed include your stake. The amount cashed out will be reflected in your account history.

Cash Out amounts are non-negotiable and BetVictor will not enter into discussion as to the Cash Out amount offered.

How to Cash Out

  • Full Cash Out

1. Go to My Bets
Tap My Bets at the top of the bet slip. Select Open to view your active bets.

2. Find your bet
Locate the bet you would like to cash out. If Cash Out is available, you will see a green Cash Out button displaying the current Cash Out value.

Note: Cash Out is not available on all bets or markets. If the button is not displayed, Cash Out is not currently available for that bet. See [Where is Cash Out available?] for more details.

3. Confirm your Cash Out
Tap the Cash Out button. The button will update to Confirm Cash Out. Tap again to confirm.

Note: The Cash Out value may change between your first and second tap. The amount shown on the Confirm Cash Out button is the amount you will receive.

4. Cash Out confirmed
Once confirmed, your bet will move to the Settled tab and you will see a confirmation message showing the amount cashed out.

To view all your settled bets, tap Bet History.

  • Partial Cash Out

Partial Cash Out allows you to cash out part of your stake and leave the remainder of your bet active until it settles.

1. Go to My Bets
Tap My Bets at the top of the bet slip. Select Open to view your active bets.

2. Find your bet
Locate the bet you would like to partially cash out. If Partial Cash Out is available, you will see a green Cash Out button and a slider below it.

3. Adjust the slider
Use the slider to choose how much of your stake you would like to cash out. As you move the slider, the Cash Out amount and the Remaining Stake will update automatically.

For example: moving the slider to the left reduces the Cash Out amount and leaves a higher Remaining Stake active on your bet.

4. Confirm your Partial Cash Out
Tap the Cash Out button. The button will update to Confirm Cash Out showing the partial amount. Tap again to confirm.

Note: The Cash Out value may change between your first and second tap. The amount shown on the Confirm Cash Out button is the amount you will receive.

5. Partial Cash Out confirmed
Once confirmed, you will see a confirmation message showing the amount cashed out. Your bet will remain active in the Open tab with your Remaining Stake still in play.

You can cash out again at any time while your bet remains open.

Your bet history will show a record of each Cash Out made, including the date, time, and amount.

What is the minimum Cash Out value for Partial Cash Out?

Partial Cash Out is available for bets with a Cash Out value of at least £1.00. You can partially cash out the same bet more than once as long as the Cash Out value remains above £1.00.

What is Bank My Stake?

Bank My Stake allows you to partially cash out your bet for the value of your original stake. This option is only available when the Cash Out value is greater than your original stake.

Where is Cash Out available?

Cash Out is available on many sports, but only where you see the Cash Out icon within the betting market header.

Cash Out is available for certain betting markets, both pre-event and in-play, win single bets, accumulators, and permutation bets.

Qualifying permutation bets are as follows: Patent, Trixie, Yankee, Lucky 15, Lucky 31, Lucky 63, Heinz, Canadian, Super Heinz, Goliath, Doubles, Trebles. This is not an exhaustive list. If you have any queries on what type of bets are covered, please contact us.

Which sports support Cash Out?

Cash Out is available on Football, Tennis, Basketball, Horse Racing, Snooker, Badminton, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

Cash Out on accumulators

All legs of an accumulator must be Cash Out eligible, as indicated by the Cash Out icon. For example:

  • A Treble where all legs are Match Betting markets would be eligible for Cash Out once those matches are offered in-play.

  • A Treble featuring two Match Betting legs and one Correct Score leg would also be Cash Out eligible in-play.

  • A Treble with two Match Betting legs and one First Goalscorer selection would not be eligible because First Goalscorer is not a Cash Out eligible market.

Is Horse Racing Cash Out available in-running?

No. Cash Out is not available when horse racing events are in-running. After each race has settled you will have an opportunity to Cash Out.

Can I Cash Out a horse racing bet on non-UK or Irish racing?

Yes. Horse Racing Cash Out is available across racing from all countries.

Note: Cash Out availability is not guaranteed. BetVictor does not recommend that you place a bet solely for the purpose of using the Cash Out option as it may not be available. All bets will stand even if Cash Out is not available.

Cash Out during in-play betting

For your pre-match bet to be eligible for Cash Out during in-play betting, the betting market must be a Cash Out market and it must be available and updated during in-play betting.

During in-play betting, a bet delay will apply to Cash Out requests in line with the standard bet placement delay for in-play bets.

Why was my Cash Out request unsuccessful?

Cash Out offers are not guaranteed. If there is a movement in the underlying market prices, your Cash Out request may be unsuccessful. If this happens, wait for a new Cash Out value to appear automatically and try again.

Why does my Cash Out say Suspended?

Cash Out may be suspended for the following reasons:

  • The event is not being offered in-play.

  • Betting has been suspended due to a goal, sending off, or similar event.

Why is there a delay when I try to Cash Out?

A time delay applies to Cash Out requests when one or more legs of the bet are in-play. This is a standard in-play betting feature.

Cash Out availability

Cash Out availability may be affected in the following circumstances:

  • Where one or more legs of a bet have been made void due to a postponement or cancellation, Cash Out values will be determined based on the availability and prices of the remaining selections.

  • Where a fixture or betting market has been amended or changed, for example a date change or change of venue, Cash Out availability may be affected.

  • Where there has been an error made in the settlement of a bet or a leg within a bet, Cash Out may become unavailable for the duration of that bet.

  • Where an error as set out in our Terms and Conditions occurs, that bet selection will not be available to Cash Out.

BetVictor reserves the right to withdraw or suspend the Cash Out service on any sport, competition, event, or market, or to any customer, without prior notification.

BetVictor will not be held responsible for any promotional messaging that may be on display on our website, mobile channel, or any marketing channels when the Cash Out service is not operating.

BetVictor does not accept any responsibility for technical issues that affect the availability of the Cash Out service. Bets placed will stand regardless of the availability of Cash Out.

Cash Out and promotions

Bets placed with promotional cash will generate a Cash Out offer. However, the offer will only become available when it is greater than the total stake of the bet. The offer will automatically deduct the bonus funds stake, which is non-returnable.

Any customer deemed to be attempting to abuse a promotional offer through the use of Cash Out may have all relevant bets voided at BetVictor's sole discretion.

Maximum Cash Out

The maximum Cash Out offer is £50,000 per bet. BetVictor reserves the right to apply a pay out limit to a cashed out bet retrospectively. Our pay out limits are available here.

The maximum real cash benefit that any customer will receive from any BetVictor bonuses or concessions, including Best Odds Guaranteed, is £/€25,000 per day (a day is 00:00 to 23:59 CET). If any cashed out bet has been paid an amount greater than £/€25,000, BetVictor may recoup the additional payment at its discretion.

Errors and resettlements

BetVictor reserves the right to reverse or amend Cash Out settlement if the bet or a market is settled in error, for example due to a human error or a technical error, or in the unlikely event that a Cash Out value has been incorrectly offered.
